At Viktoriahuset about 25 different non-profit associations have their offices, seminaries and events. They have a broad spectrum of interests and subjects from fair trade, yoga, peace, equality, environmental issues, photography, architectural environments to film and much more. They all work with issues related to culture, environment, peace and solidarity.
Viktoriahuset started as a school built in 1875–1877 according to plans by Mr Viktor Adler. The house is part of the "Saving program of historically important buildings in Gothenburg". In 1981 the house was expanded to include various rooms and a cinema.
